Our Design Process Explained.

Updated: Mar 16, 2023

Once we have been appointed by a client our surveyor will book a lasered measured survey with you at the site which is the first meeting, consultation & site survey.

The first meeting, consultation & the site survey.

One of our experienced team will visit your site and carry out a laser measured site survey of the whole building. This consultation and survey normally takes between 1-2 hours depending on the size of your property and proposal. This is to survey the existing building to produce the existing drawings and go over your preliminary proposal with you and inform you of your options.

The Second meeting.

Drawings are produced within 10 days and once completed we will arrange a second meeting with you to go over the plans, This can be done at your site address, home, office or via screen share meeting if you prefer. Any amendments to the design are discussed and changed and agreed before submission,

Submission of Planning or Permitted Development Application

Once drawings have been finalised and agreed we submit the drawings to the council on the your behalf and work as your agents, we will deal with the planning officer throughout the application and if requested by the council make any amendments to the drawings to get your application granted.

The Decision

The council take 8 weeks to grant an application, some councils offer a number of different fast track services for an additional fee, the fees and time scales vary depending on the service you require to suit your needs.
